My job is to provide direction for the company and surround myself with great people that deliver our mission and values. I am an entrepreneur and have started a number of companies that were committed to using new technology and methodology to bring about change (in communications and healthcare) for the better.
I am extremely mission driven by Accessa Wellness; my dad died at 50 years old of a heart attack because he was too busy and too impatient to take the time to learn about his diagnostic health risk. Accessa Wellness was developed with people like my dad (and me…apple doesn't fall far from the tree) in mind. The good news for me is that I found out about my bad genetics and because of great new therapeutics and lifestyle change, I've outlived my dad and have my risk factors under control…Accessa Wellness is helping me to keep them that way.
Tracey T. Powell, Chairman of the Board, Home Access Health & Mutare, Inc. Mr. Powell is an entrepreneur and executive with an extensive background in telecommunications and healthcare with experience in start-ups focused on breakthrough technologies/services.
Prior to founding Home Access Health Corporation in 1993, Mr. Powell formed Mutare Inc. in 1980 and managed its affiliated companies. Mutare quickly distinguished itself as one of the telecommunication industry's earliest value-added systems integrators and later became recognized for its focus on corporate system solutions via breakthrough technologies: voice mail, video conferencing and voice response. Home Access Health is a leader in personal convenience diagnostics and is the only company approved by FDA to provide at-home testing services for HIV and Hepatitis C. Previously, Mr. Powell was with TSI (Telecommunications Services, Inc.), as Vice President of Sales.
Mr. Powell graduated from Western Illinois University in 1974 with a Bachelors degree in Business & Marketing.
